A great deal of emphasis in the rubber industry is on the safety of machinery and equipment for personnel. The usual solutions used in most cases (like stopping motion with E-stop pushbutton or safety sensor) are not always appropriate. It is necessary to foresee several operating modes of the machine (automatic, manual, material feed, maintenance, cleaning ...), accumulation of kinetic energy in moving parts and protection of different access areas.
